MELLIS NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
Take basic measures to keep you and your property safe (e.g. securing windows and doors, not leaving ladders and garden tools outside, not leaving keys within reach of a window, installing/using security lighting, etc.)
Always lock your vehicle and do not to leave valuables visible (ideally don’t leave valuables in your vehicle at all)
Consider marking your property (e.g. with postcode and house number/name in UV pen), or register your property with a free service such as “Immobilise”
Be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to police – and try and note the index numbers of any vehicles involved.
Keep an eye out for your neighbours and their property (e.g. if they are vulnerable, or perhaps away on holidays and have left the house vacant).
Phone 101 to report non-urgent matters
ALWAYS call 999 in an Emergency.
